Region 70 West Los Angeles has been a part of a nationwide, non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Five Core Philosophies: Open Registration - no tryouts, everyone is welcome to play Balanced Teams - no “loaded teams” Everyone Plays - at least 3/4 of every game (in Region 70) Positive Coaching - instruct and encourage only Good Sportsmanship - good winners and losers Players, Parents, Coaches, Referees and other Volunteers, and we look forward to meeting all of our new Participants. AYSO is a national not-for-profit organization, which is “staffed” completely by non-paid volunteers at the Regional, Area and Section level. We are not a Recreation and Parks Department program and there are no paid individuals who are responsible for your child’s AYSO program. Accordingly, it is up to each of us to volunteer our time and ability to make this a successful and positive experience for all of our children. This is fun, so join us by visiting our volunteer page and finding the right role for YOU. AYSO's grassroots program starts with a community-based league, called a Region. A Region can range in size from a few hundred players to several thousand. Each Region is supervised by a Regional Commissioner and a local Board of Directors. We are one of eight Regions in the heart of Los Angeles, California We are Region 70 West Los Angeles A group of regions in close proximity make up an Area. Area Directors are responsible for activities of the Regions in their Area, as well as for Area-wide activities. Region 70 For administrative purposes, AYSO divides the country into 14 geographic Sections based on player population. Section Directors oversee activities in their respective Sections.
