In recent years, the international media has focused on the negative, even violent, behavior of players, coaches and parents involved in sports. In a proactive effort to counteract this trend of violence, AYSO initiated a program called Kids Zone.

A part of AYSO's education agenda, Kids Zone is a dynamic program targeted to eliminate negative sideline behavior. It is aimed toward producing a thoroughly positive impact on everyone involved in youth soccer.

To assist us all in keeping the goals of Kids Zone foremost in our minds, Kids Zone signs were developed. These signs, which list rules and positive behavior standards, will be posted at the entrance of participating fields. Parents and spectators who abide by these standards are welcome -- all others are not.

At registration all parents were asked to, and did, sign “The Pledge.” In doing so, we agreed to abide by the Kids Zone standards.
